The SPACE-AIM mission lessons can be used by all ages. It is great for:
- Extra-curricular activities over school holidays for the kids.
- Learning more about space and science over weekends or in your own time.
When DONATING per lesson, you will be making it possible for us to continue with this initiative.
MISSION CONTROL LESSONS
The below table describes the lessons that will be covered in the Mission Control Lessons Pack:
| LESSONS | DOCUMENTS | DONATE |
|---|---|---|
| LESSON 1 – Mission Control (USA) | Theory & Practical | R100 |
| LESSON 2 – Each Console Position in Mission Control | Theory & Practical | R100 |
| LESSON 3 – Historic Mission Control Centre vs Today’s Mission Control Centre | Theory & Practical | R100 |
| LESSON 4 – Mission Control Centres Around The World | Theory | R80 |
Each Lesson comes with a theory document. There may also be a practical exercise document depending on the lesson. For our SPACE-AIM practical lessons, we use the following online tools:
- The PYTHON ONLINE GDB is used to build python code. The GDB environment allows the student or user to test and simulate their Python code. (Online Python Compiler – online editor (onlinegdb.com).
- ARDUINO is used to build simulations of electronic circuit boards and their coding. The code is then transferred to physical Arduino boards to run in “real world” environments. (https://www.arduino.cc/)
- The AUTODESK TINKERCAD application is used to build 3D models, block coding, and electronic circuitry simulations. It will be used in most of our practical modules. (https://www.tinkercad.com/)
These online tools are all FREE to use.
You can complete one lesson, or two lessons or all of them. These lessons can be completed in your own time and at your own pace. You can apply for as many lessons as are available.
Please feel free to Apply now and get started.
Our lessons utilize a variety of products. Arduino Tool Kits are one of the products we use to assist in the learning of electronics and programming. The lessons introduce the learning of Python coding. Part of our practical lessons incorporate the use of a handy online tool Autodesk® Tinkercad® – to build online electronic models for electronic projects. ..
